Fabulous stay in a beautiful property. A group of nine family members stayed a week in Labyrinthe in Montclar. This was our second visit to the property and we were not disappointed. The house is in a beautiful setting and enjoys extensive views over the countryside. The house is thoughtfully furnished to a very high standard and everything we needed was on hand. There was plenty of crockery, glasses, cutlery etc and a dishwasher on both floors made clearing up after each meal much easier. The whole house is spotlessly clean and there was plenty of hot water for everyone to shower. We were made very welcome on arrival and the owner went to great trouble to make sure we had everything we needed for the one member of the family who is not very mobile. We couldn’t praise the house and setting enough - we had a really relaxing and comfortable holiday with our family in a beautiful area. Would highly recommend this house and hope to return in the future. (Janine - Party of 9. September 2019).
Lovely Villa - Stunning position. We were a 3 generation party - grandparents and 2 families, 5 children and the villa was perfect for our group. The accommodation was very spacious and plenty of bathrooms - essential with a large group! The villa was well appointed and of a high standard and the 2 kitchens were well equipped for all catering needs - the big fridge/freezer and ice maker particularly appreciated. The cupboard with childrens games was well used by us and the boules pitch provided much entertainment. The garden was delightful and beautifully maintained and the heated pool was the highlight of the week for the children ranging from 12yrs to 2yrs.! We had breakfasts on the terrace with panoramic views and star gazing at night! A lovely house set in the peace and quiet of the French countryside - thanks to Nigel for allowing us to stay in his delightful home. (Elizabeth - Party of 11. August 2018).
A true gem - perfect in every way. Wow! What a special place. From the welcome, the cleanliness, the space, the amazing beds, the views, the pool....I could continue for a long time....We were at Labyrinthe for an extended stay this summer and it was a delight to be there every single day - even in scorching temperatures (more shade/ umbrellas/parasols please!). The only thing to mention is that there was not enough shade in the afternoons if you wanted to sit by the pool. But I’m not complaining!! The pool was a great hit. We were in it all the time! It was wonderful and kept sparkling by Martin. We didn’t use the bbq as it was too hot in the evenings to do so but belive it was brand new. Kitchens were well stocked and all things provided. Both upstairs and downstairs. Used the downstairs fridge for drinks and ice creams and for when too hot to eat outside. A great space. Wanted for nothing. Nigel, a generous and knowledgable host in every way. Thank you for everything. We will be back very soon. As I shiver in the UK now returned we are holding on to such special memories of a very special place. (Becks - Party of 10. Beautiful villa in an idyllic setting. We booked for a week as part of my husbands 60th birthday celebrations taking the family - 6 adults & 4 grandchildren away to this lovely area of France. On arrival we were met by Debbie & Richard who showed us round and were available for any questions. This house is exceptional - lovely bedrooms & bathrooms, beautiful views, two kitchens - all fully equipped, two terraces and a beautiful pool area and gardens with fruit trees - the cherries were delicious and the children loved picking & eating them! The petanque court, table tennis & table football were enjoyed by all! We all loved the attention to the little details from maps & games to torches in the bedside drawers!
There is so much space for all and I cannot recommend Villa Labyrinthe highly enough and look forward to going back again. I would also like to thank Nigel for his prompt responses and for the use of his lovely home. (Carole - Party of 10. June 2018)
We stayed for two weeks and could honestly have stayed for a third week. The peace and tranquility were perfect. We have rented many French houses and this is the best we have had the pleasure of holidaying in. The house is large and spacious and well set out. All the bedrooms are roomy and comfortable. We were a party of 4 adults and chose to use two of the downstairs bedrooms which offered lovely views and had ensuite bathrooms. The kitchens are well equipped and we enjoyed bar b q's on the terrace waiting for the stars and fireflies to emerge and the nightingale to start it's nocturnal chorus. The pool is lovely and heated and the gardens well maintained. The location of the property means you do need a car but this is something we do anyway and means you can have the seclusion and privacy of being there and the option to explore if you choose. Carcassonne is well worth a visit as was the market in Mirepoix. We also enjoyed a walk by the canal du midi at Trebes and Rennes-le-Chateaux was fascinating with breathtaking views. Both the owner and management company were extremely helpful and easily contactable. We will definitely return. (Trudy - Party of 4. June 2018)
